the setting was excellent, right by the trevi fountain, colossuem, spanish steps and the pantheon, the telegraph suites for 4 nights in march 2018, and most attractions and public transportation. the employees at the hotel were incredibly attentive and amicable.

The best thing was the location. Absolutely unbeatable. We walked almost all sights (within 30 minutes). The staff was very friendly and we could even change the apartment (we hadn't paid attention when booking that our apartment did not have a kitchen; and with a small child this is practical).
The rooms are superficially renovated, but everything is getting a bit old (drawers and cupboards warped and loose). We had no response to an inquiry in advance.

Perfect hotel, fantastic location to everything from numa Vici and incredibly attentive staff. Generous-sized room with floors where the lift stops, bedroom. Location very close to the main shopping street which had tons of restaurants, a fantastic restaurant, really great food unlike the ones in the touristy area and all Rome attractions...

We stayed at 4 hotels in Italy and our hotel room at the "Dolce Vita Residence" was the biggest so far. The whole setting is more like an apartment. We got a kitchen, a dinning room and a really big master bedroom. The breakfast was just O.K. We missed actually the usual breakfast buffet, but they don`t have a breakfast space (we guess). The location was really perfect. We just walked to the coliseum, trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, Castello de Santo Angelo and the Vatican!!! BUT don`t come with your rented car, because it`s really difficult to find the parking garage. You better leave the car at the airport and drive by the chauffeur service to the hotel! Driving in rome is no fun. We got the same problem in Florence! We did it but it was an adventure ....

We have chosen this Hotel/Rooms due to its location. Even thought we have booked for a Studio (for 2 Adults & a 13 Yrs child), dvr offered us a 1-Bedroom-Apt so that we can be more confortable. This was a little bit cheaper @ the end; thank you dvr for that. (1St Floor Room Marcello Mastroianni). The room was clean, had a flat tv and 2 a/c, 1 in the bedroom & 1 were the sofa/bed was, but there was only 1 remote control...which we needed to move around the rooms; that was a hassle! I have to say, that the Hotel Staff were very helpful, polite and always willing to assist in anyway they could. (Especially Babuina - hope I spelled the name correct). Thank you for that! :-)
There was a lot of noise coming from outside. From 6:00am there was noise from the next door building, which was being re-innovated. Also, there was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen, which was a few steps below our apartment. We could also hear birds crying! That was odd!! The extra bed/sofa for our child was not confortable at all. Its springs wouldn’t allow you to rest at all. Even for a child, that was not a bed to sleep comfortably at all.The main bedroom had a small window, however when opened very little light could come inside. Also, we believe that since this Residence offered apartments… they should consider adding a microwave oven in the rooms. In summary: For the amount of money we have spent for 4 nights, we expected much more…(bigger rooms, better more confortable beds) but from what I understand Rome is expensive. (We have stayed in a central 4-Star Hotel in Florence with almost half the money!) Anyway, since the apartment was clean, staff was polite and helpful, location was central…and we were there for only 4 days… that was ok. I have to say once again though, that the money we have paid was too much for 4 days!
